GoHighLevel has three published plans. It also has two real costs that do not appear on the pricing page at all, and those are the ones that surprise people in month two.
Here is the whole picture.
*Prices verified 24 August 2026 from GoHighLevel's own pricing page.*
The three plans
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97 | $970 | 3 sub-accounts, unlimited contacts, unlimited users, all core features |
| Unlimited | $297 | $2,970 | Everything in Starter, unlimited sub-accounts, rebill phone and email at cost, basic API |
| Agency Pro | $497 | $4,970 | Everything in Unlimited, SaaS Mode, automated sub-account creation, rebill with markup, advanced API |
There is also an Enterprise tier with custom pricing for high volume.
Annual billing is ten months for twelve. If you are staying past ten months, annual saves you two.
Every plan includes unlimited contacts and unlimited users. That matters more than it sounds, most CRMs charge per seat and per contact, and it is where the real comparison lives.
Which plan you actually need
Most articles push you to Unlimited. Here is the honest version.
Starter, $97, is enough for most people. One business, or up to three, and every core feature is included. Not a limited version, the whole platform. If you run a single local business, or you have two or three clients, this is your plan. Do not pay $297 for sub-accounts you are not using.
Unlimited, $297, is for when sub-account four arrives. That is the actual trigger. At three clients you are at the ceiling, and the jump pays for itself immediately if you are charging anything reasonable per client. The rebill feature also lets you pass phone and email costs through at cost instead of absorbing them.
Agency Pro, $497, is for reselling. SaaS Mode lets you package the platform under your own brand, set your own prices, and bill clients automatically. If you are not reselling, you are buying a feature you will not open. If you are, it is the plan that turns GoHighLevel from a tool into a product line.
The upgrade path is clean, so start lower. Moving up takes a click and you keep everything.
Now the part the pricing page does not tell you
This is why people search why was I charged by GoHighLevel.
Usage bills separately, from a wallet
Your plan fee covers the software. It does not cover what you send.
Every text, every call minute, every LeadConnector email, and premium AI actions all draw from a prepaid wallet that sits at the agency level, separate from your subscription.
Three consequences worth understanding before you get there:
- It is agency wide. One wallet funds every sub-account. Run dry and messaging stops for all of them at once, including clients paying you.
- It fails silently. No email, no banner. Your workflow reports Executed and the text simply does not arrive. The only place the truth shows is the message itself in Conversations, where hovering the warning gives you something like agency has insufficient funds.
- Auto recharge being on is not the same as it working. On an account we run, auto recharge was enabled and the card declined four times over two days. The wallet sat negative, every text failed, and the settings page looked perfectly healthy the whole time.
Budget a small amount monthly for usage, turn on auto recharge, and then actually confirm the charge lands on your statement.
A2P 10DLC is a carrier fee, not a GoHighLevel fee
To send business texts in the United States you must register under A2P 10DLC. On a low volume registration we ran, that was roughly $25 one time and about $11 a month ongoing.
That is a pass through from the carriers. It is not included in any GoHighLevel plan, and there is no tier you can buy to make it go away. Until it is approved, your texts do not deliver at all.
So your real monthly number is, plan fee, plus wallet usage, plus A2P carrier fees.
Add-ons, and which ones are worth it
Optional, per sub-account unless noted:
| Add-on | Monthly |
|---|---|
| AI Employee, Growth | $50 |
| AI Employee, Unlimited | $97 |
| Branded Client Portal App | $49 |
| Dedicated Email IP | $59 per IP |
| SEO, Search Atlas | $79 |
| $10 | |
| HIPAA Compliance | $297 |
| Premium Support | $500 |
| White Label Mobile App | $497 |
Two notes. HIPAA is not optional if you handle medical information, so healthcare businesses should price that in from day one rather than discovering it later. And the White Label Mobile App at $497 only makes sense once you have enough sub-accounts that your own branded app is part of what you sell.
Ignore the rest until something specific forces your hand. The core platform does the work.
The 14 day trial
You get 14 days free with full access to whichever tier you pick.
Use it deliberately. Two weeks is enough to build one real thing, and one working system tells you more than two weeks of clicking around. Pick your highest value automation, missed call text back is the usual answer, and build it end to end.
One warning, your A2P registration will not be approved inside 14 days. Plan to test SMS delivery after the trial, not during it.
What it replaces
The honest comparison is not feature to feature, it is stack to stack. A typical local business or small agency is otherwise paying for a CRM, an email tool, a scheduler, a funnel builder, a phone system, a review tool, and something to glue them together.
Add those up and the $97 tier usually wins on cost before you count the time you stop losing to five tools that do not talk to each other.
The catch is that consolidation only pays if you actually use it. A GoHighLevel account with one form in it is more expensive than the tools it replaced.
The one that decides it
If you are on the fence, do not decide on price. Decide on whether you will build the automations.
The platform is worth $97 the moment missed calls get texted back automatically, because one recovered job covers a year of it. It is worth nothing at any price if you buy it and never wire anything up.
